The oldest operating steam locootive in Finland, 1901 H.K. Porter is running on the festival grounds. Also a Peerless steam tractor can bee seen in action.

You can also find toy trains for smaller and also a little bit bigger festival guests.

The JR 5 steam locomotive "Orion" is running for the first summer at Jokioinen Museum Railway. The locomotive will run regular traffic during the Steam Festival.

The 2011 Steam Festival at Minkiö on 30.-31.7. 2011!

The 2011 Steam Festival will be held as usual at Jokioinen Museum Railway Minkiö station on the last weekend of July! This will be the 7th year of Minkiö Steam Festival!

 Come and see the power of steam

The Museum Railway Association, the Finnish Steam Engine Society and many other parties are organising the seventh Minkiö steam Festival onm Saturday and Sunday 30.-31.7.2011.

The festival grounds are open both days from 11:00 to 17:00 (ticket sales is open until 16:00). There are three steam trains running on both festival days between Minkiö and Humppila. In addition there is a smaller park train pulled by a H.K. Porter steam locomotive running on the festival grounds. On both days at Jokioinen station you can take a ride on a trailer of antique tractor to get to Jokioinen municipal festival near by the Jokioinen estate.

In total there are more than ten stationary steam engines and the five steam locomotives running during the weekend. In addition to steam locomotives and steam engines there are also antique tractors and old farming machinery including stationary gazoline engines. The adult ticket for the festival costs 15 euros and the one for children (6-16 years) costs 5 euros. Under 6 years old eneter for free.
