Photos of past Steam Festivals

The oldest operating steam locootive in Finland, 1901 H.K. Porter is running on the festival grounds. Also a Peerless steam tractor can bee seen in action.

You can also find toy trains for smaller and also a little bit bigger festival guests.

The JR 5 steam locomotive "Orion" is running for the first summer at Jokioinen Museum Railway. The locomotive will start regular traffic during the Steam Festival.

Year 2009 festivaal at Minkiö on 25.-26.7. 2009!

The year 2009 Steam Festival will be held as usual at Jokioinen Museum Railway Minkiö station on the last weekend of July!

Steam locomotive 6 turns 100 years

At the year 2009 festival we will celebrate the 100th aniversary of the ex Lovisa - Wesijärvi railway steam locomotive number 6 The locomotive has still its original boiler from 1909, which is also the oldest locomotive boiler still in use in Finland! The locomotive was fully renovated in running condition in the end of 1990s and since autumn 1998 she has been working at Jokioinen Museum Railway.

New in 2009 -working agricultural machinery

At this years Steam Festival you can also see working agricultural machinery. In addition to Minkiö station the festival is expanding to a nearby field where you can admire renovated tractors and agricultural machinery in action!
